Current Time Global NmF2, hmF2 and TEC from IRI-2001

Click on the plots for an animation showing changes in the last 24 hours

Plots shown here are NmF2, hmF2 and TEC based on the International Reference Ionosphere 2001 model for the current time, and are updated every hour.

  • NmF2 and hmF2 are from the CCIR coefficients;
  • TEC is calculated between 100-1000 km using IRI's iritec.for;
  • The IRI model is driven by solar flux index RZ12 and ionospheric index IG. Both indeices are determined by ig_rz.dat (11/1/2005 version) file provided by the IRI;
